Are you a leader, perhaps a mentor or someone people look up to?
When asked this question, the answer is usually a quick no because many people, women especially hardly see themselves as leaders.
Leaders are presidents of a nation or a CEO of a mega company. Perhaps that icon you read about in the Forbes paper last week. You know, leader are nothing like you, they are people who have their acts together.
Excuse me, you are wrong.
I use to have the same line of thoughts since my life was somewhat no that interesting or filled with events and back to back itineraries. Then I had "Aha" with one the closest person to me, my sister. It was nothing short of our usual conversations only this time, my little sister needed guidance.
"Please, tell me what to do"
I felt stoned at those words. This is a radical girl that will hop up and every idea and wouldn't give you and hint until she was done. I guess maturity hits us hard.
Her words were filled with fear and uncertainty of the next step to take in life and career. I starred at the chat for minutes and wondered, how did I even get here?
It isn't the first time I will encourage a friend or try to inspire someone but when it is this close home and your siblings look up to you, it becomes a total ball game. Why? this are people who truly know you inside out, people who grew with you and when they can ask your spiritual guidance about life determining moments, that should be mean something, right?
Whether you are 20 or 50, you have in your life opportunities and people you can be of help to. Being an influencer can be that close to home. You are here on earth, set as an example, to be God's ambassador to the world. You don't have to be famous to be that and it doesn't matter if you begin with your family or one person that casually walked into your life.
Remember, one can person can still do much, just as Daniel was able to influence the king to allow all people of the nation free to choose the God they will serve after he was released from Lion's den.
1 Timothy 4:12 laid it out.
Don't let anyone look down on you, and don't be that person doing that. Young or old be an example to those around you in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.
Be the worthy representative of Christ here on earth, showing the world, within the scope of space where you find yourself, how God wants life to be here on earth as it is in heaven.
