Open to Being Successful.

Open to Being Successful. (2).png

Do you want to be successful? That is a popular question that I hardly get a No for an answer but when I probe a little further, I feel and hear the hesitations that lie deep down. Everyone wants to be successful but that is the easy part.

There is as much fear of success out there as is the fear of failure, but fear creates a different can of vibe that almost seemed acceptably valid. Fear to succeed; is on a parallel road to the fear of failure. Why? Success is the opposite of failure and when there is a list of the things that endorses fear, being afraid to be successful seem almost like an oxymoron.
Yes underneath that fear of failure may be a bigger ice of the fear to be successful.

When questions like
1.    How can I keep it up?
2.    What if I lose everything
3.    What if no one wants to be my friend?
4.    What if it changes me?
5.    What if I get really successful and cannot handle it.
If you are afraid of success, it has a way of sensing it in you and staying away. Like Albert Einstein said, we can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.  If that mindset created it keep it away, that needed to change to recreate a different kind of relationship between you and success.
So, here is the drill
You have to be open to really want to be successful with the whole of your heart and settle in your mind that like any other aspect of life; you will get better at it as you go.
You have to:

  • Decide where you are
  • Decide what success is to you
  • Decide what you need to do to have that success in your life
  • Decide who you have to be to be that successful
  • Break your goal into steps
  • Take it one step at a time.

Sounds easy, maybe not at first as you step into new territories but if you look at it from building your muscles standpoint. You will see what consistency and patient will do to and for you.
So, as you learn and practice the habit of success; see it then walk towards it. Remember a man thinks so is he!
